Goodbye Marius
Giraffes are an African native animal and you can tell where a giraffe is from by its coat.
Most of the range is endangered and protected. In 1999, there were an estimated 140,000. By 2010, only 80,000 were left in the wild. And another 1,100 were kept in zoos all around the world.
Read in The New York Times this story about Marius, a giraffe who lived in Copenhagen Zoo.
